Hot Air Balloon RIde

This morning Dan surprised me with a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque. It was incredile. So peaceful and quiet. The morning was just perfect. The winds were light and the sun was just coming up over Sandia Mountain. We were just floating up there for about 2 hours. The view was incredible. I thought that I would be scared because it went so high, but I never had a scared feeling at all. There were several other balloons up there because the winds were perfect. So that made it all the more prettier. The landing was a little bumpy but not too bad. When we landed , the chase crew was there to help us. The crew also had a bottle of champagne for us to share in honor of a successful flight. It was just awsome.

We enjoyed it so much, Dan and I are going to be part of the chase crew next week.! We helped inflate the balloon and then after the ride, we helped fold her up and pack her away for the next flight. Just couldn't be more perfect!

Thanks Dan for the best birthday present ever!!!

Golden Hard Hat Award

Today I was awarded the "Golden Hard Hat" at work. This is the trophy that was presented to me as a recognition for doing a good job at work.

March-April in Santa Fe

It is already April 6th. Where does the time go? Another 6 weeks and Shannon will be a married woman. YIKES.

Nikki is doing well raising her two tots. Tyler is 2 1/2 and Kellie is 4 mos. She is already sitting up and she is holding her own bottle. Tyler is just as cute as can be and he loves his sister.

Derek is doing great in College and holding a full time job and still making straite A's

Dan and I still working here in Santa Fe,NM The weather here is awful. On Monday last week, the morning was nice and sunny, about 50 degree's. By noon time it was snowing, then after about an hour of snow, it started raining. After the rain was over, the sun came back out and it was again about 50-55 degree's . Unbelievable. These next few months of Spring, the winds start to blow. Today the wind gusts were up to 45 mph. Very scarry.

We took a drive on Sunday to Diablo Canyon about 3 miles from our house and watched some rock climbers. It was incredible. There were people on the side of that huge rock just hangin there. I was dizzy just watching them. I attached the pictures...

Our Grandkids

This is what life is all about.........

Great 2009 Christmas

Dan and I spend a week in Atlanta, Ga with my daughter, Nikki and her husband Joey and their two kids. Tyler is such a wonderful child, and Kellie is just as sweet as can be. She has adjusted very well to the outside world, and Tyler has also adjusted being a Big Brother.

He is such a great kid and just loves everybody. Nikki made us a great Christmas dinner of honey baked ham and potatoes and all that good stuff. Nikki is such a wonderful mother, she adores her kids with so much that all that love is passed on to Tyler & Kellie .

Shannon, Derek and DC all came to visit on Saturday & Sunday from Pensacola. We were all very happy to see them. I miss my kids so much that I love every minute that we can all get together.

On Sunday Shannon and I went wedding dress shopping. She found the perfect dress that really makes her look like a georgeous bride to be. Of course I cried when she stepped out of the dressing room in that gown. My daughter, and best friend is getting married, she just looked so grown up.. Don't know how I am going to get through this wedding without flooding all of Florida.

Also you will see a picture of our Anual Tradition of lottery tickets scratch off. Joey gets lottery tickets for all of us every year and we all have fun scratching. There were a few winners, but no big bucks this year. There 's always next year!

My family is just growing up in front of me. Wish I knew of a way to stop time!
