Hot Air Balloon RIde

This morning Dan surprised me with a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque. It was incredile. So peaceful and quiet. The morning was just perfect. The winds were light and the sun was just coming up over Sandia Mountain. We were just floating up there for about 2 hours. The view was incredible. I thought that I would be scared because it went so high, but I never had a scared feeling at all. There were several other balloons up there because the winds were perfect. So that made it all the more prettier. The landing was a little bumpy but not too bad. When we landed , the chase crew was there to help us. The crew also had a bottle of champagne for us to share in honor of a successful flight. It was just awsome.

We enjoyed it so much, Dan and I are going to be part of the chase crew next week.! We helped inflate the balloon and then after the ride, we helped fold her up and pack her away for the next flight. Just couldn't be more perfect!

Thanks Dan for the best birthday present ever!!!

Golden Hard Hat Award

Today I was awarded the "Golden Hard Hat" at work. This is the trophy that was presented to me as a recognition for doing a good job at work.

March-April in Santa Fe

It is already April 6th. Where does the time go? Another 6 weeks and Shannon will be a married woman. YIKES.

Nikki is doing well raising her two tots. Tyler is 2 1/2 and Kellie is 4 mos. She is already sitting up and she is holding her own bottle. Tyler is just as cute as can be and he loves his sister.

Derek is doing great in College and holding a full time job and still making straite A's

Dan and I still working here in Santa Fe,NM The weather here is awful. On Monday last week, the morning was nice and sunny, about 50 degree's. By noon time it was snowing, then after about an hour of snow, it started raining. After the rain was over, the sun came back out and it was again about 50-55 degree's . Unbelievable. These next few months of Spring, the winds start to blow. Today the wind gusts were up to 45 mph. Very scarry.

We took a drive on Sunday to Diablo Canyon about 3 miles from our house and watched some rock climbers. It was incredible. There were people on the side of that huge rock just hangin there. I was dizzy just watching them. I attached the pictures...
